Kids Choice Awards Slime Machine

For the 2022 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, the in-house design team at Nickelodeon asked me to animate several sponsored promos. This year’s design concept was far more ambitious and fun than previous years.  The Slime Machine is a a series of events that I was tasked with animating a series of events across a fantastically engineered slime machine that runs mostly on kittens, puppies, and butterfly hotdogs!   Reminiscent of the Mouse Trap Board Game, the design is a series of completely random elements that are affected by previous actions and then affect the element in front of them.  Once again, being able to mix between 2D and 3D animation was instrumental to getting it right.  I feel bad about what happens to the butterfly hotdog at the end but otherwise, I had a lot of fun working on this one!
