The U.S. National Debt is a subject regularly covered by news networks.  This news special for Peacock & MSNBC News Now was about the ever-increasing U.S. Deficit and how it affects us.  The design team at MSNBC gave me the task of designing a look for the graphics package while avoiding design themes commonly used when covering this kind of story.  After quite a bit of research I found some great references in an online European publication dealing with EU Economic policy.  We took it as a starting point and as always it quickly developed a personality all its own.  At delivery, MSNBC production team was happy with what was created and I could not be more pleased to have successfully taken the roads less traveled to get there.
